We are thinking a west coast ride. Starting somewhere south of Seattle maybe Tacoma or Portland area where I can ship my bike to then south.
Want to do some mountains, the red woods, Big Sur that type of thing. Maybe cut east around San Luis Opispo then end in Las Vegas or swing back north to Salt lake City although that's a stretch to SLC.
We'd have 2 weeks hopefully.
Any thoughts about what to see or routes?

If you are travelling from SLO to LV via Hwy 58 (Mojave) and happen to enjoy trains. A fun stop (time permitting) is to check out the Tehachapi Loop. If you have the time, you might get lucky and see a long train working its way around the loop.
Highway 395 along the Eastern Sierra is stunning... Also, out on the coast I never pass through Moss Landing, California without stopping to eat at Phil's Fish Market.
