If you decide on the circle tour I highly suggest you ride H-58 from Grand Marais to Munising along the Pictured Rocks National Shoreline. If you have time take a day to cruise the shoreline out of Munising, about 4hrs, well worth it IMO.
If you do the Superior Loop - be prepared for rain. It is unlikely you'll get all the way around without encountering at least one rain day... and it won't be a warm rain either. Expect temperatures to drop into the 50's even in the middle of summer. Otherwise, it's a beautiful trip.
