Successful 11-day 4600-mile trip. A lot of fun.
Notes: Best Gear - Hydration Vest.. it just works! Rokform phone mount, solid. Airhawk and Alaskan Sheepskin, flawless. Best Roads - Beartooth just incredible. Chief Joseph was a nice ride. Buffalo, Wy to Worland was a great ride. Lolo Pass. McCall to Salmon River Canyon another nice ride. Grand Tetons. Winter Park and Guanella Pass, Co. Going to the sun would have been better, but the East side close, it was jammed packed. Best Dealers - Unfortunately, I missed a lot due to departure and arrival times. My infotainment display went black in Stanley, ID. Came back on at Sun Valley, but was still squirrely. Arrived in Idaho Falls at Grand Teton Harley. Nice guys, uploaded the latest software flash and worked all the way home, no charge. Shout out to GT Harley. Cities I liked - Sheridan Wy - Bozeman, MT - Red Lodge, MT - McCall, ID, Grand Teton area. Prettiest Girls - Northern Wyoming and Southern Montana... just saying
Just beware, if you go to Glacier, its brutal! Thought the bike was going to melt due to tourists driving 10-15 mph all the way up.
Oh.. and HAVE FUN!!! ha
Yeah, I was the 2nd one. Walked around and took pics, by the time I got back there were 6 or 7.
Have to say, I enjoyed talking to bikers in every city. Always helpful and friendly, even the pirate ones! ha
Forgot to mention, sat next to a group of Hells Angels (Washington) in Red Lodge. Was going to ask them if they wanted to join in on a pic.... I passed..
Great pics, I would love to get up there before the snow starts flying this year. Ironically, I met up with some Hells Angles out of California while riding in ID. Nice enough guys, they were on their way to Sturgis, but I passed on the photo op as well! Thanks for sharing, looks awesome!
