Default Eastern Seaboard Bombed Out - Now It's NV, AZ and UT National Parks

Eastern Seaboard - Mid-September and Early October went kaput for a couple of reasons; too expensive and probably the not the best time of the year to be tooling around the northeast on 2 wheels. I know it's a beautiful area in the fall. Probably not for a bunch of lost Hawaiians not used to cold-weather riding.

Hope this Covid-19 crap is over when April comes around. Also hope April isn't too early (too cold) to catch the Utah NPs...

This is what it's looking like so far:
Outgoing: (I just broke it into 2 legs, because of Google Maps limitations)
START - Las Vegas, NV to Laughlin, NV
Laughlin, NV to Tusayan/Grand Canyon, AZ via Oatman, AZ
Tusayan/Grand Canyon, AZ to Bluff, UT via Monument Valley, UT
Bluff, UT to Durango, CO via 4 Corners
Durango, CO to Grand Junction, CO

Inbound:
Grand Jct, CO to Moab, UT (take 128 S off of I-70)
Extra Night – Moab
Moab, UT to Escalante, UT (not sure of this being the specific "stop")
Escalante, UT to Bryce Canyon, UT
Extra Night – Bryce Canyon Area/Mt Caramel Jct ?
Bryce Canyon, UT to Zion NP, UT
Zion NP, UT to Mesquite, NV via North Rim, AZ
Mesquite, NV to Las Vegas, NV
END - Las Vegas, NV.

Two guys may rent bikes out of Las Vegas, and 2 may ship from Maui to San Diego and ride in to meet the guys in Vegas.

Be sure to hit Arches National Park outside of Moab. If you hit the park in the morning the lighting on the rocks is incredible.

Nice trip!
On your way up to Grand Junction (HW550) be sure to have a stop at Silverton CO and visit the narrow gauge train station!

That route could catch some cold wet weather in April.

Late April you might be okay. The southern route should be fine, but once you hit Durango and up to Grand Junction, you are in some serious elevation. I would have a back up plan just in case, becuase the million dollar highway may not be open yet? We've hit it in May and had snow on both sides of the road, which made for some great riding, but if it's early April, may not be open? Otherwise, you'll probably hit some cold and wet weather, but nothing that a good coat and weather gear can't cure. This is a great time of year, and you may experience all 4 seasons (okay maybe not fall) but will be a great ride. We've done this a number of times, because we're local and your route looks awesome!

Would highly recommend staying the night in Durango, great town. We stay at the Hotel next to the train station and you can walk to almost anything. Silverton also has the highest HD store in the world (great shirt). Another good place to stop for lunch maybe on timing is Williams, AZ. This is a hidden gem and a great place to stop.

I understand... we're trying to save the guys who are renting bikes a few bucks. Eaglerider's "Peak Season" surcharge begins on May 1 and is an additional $19 a day ($266 for the 14 day period).

That's one of the reasons I looked at the end (last 2 weeks) of April. May might be in the cards.

Thanks for the input.

looks like a great trip but be ready for cold weather, did the route you have in New Mexico and Colorado in early may and saw 6 inches of snow. Spring storms will blow in and out and give 2 or 3 days of below normal temperatures
