Planning a trip to AZ. Grand Canyon, Flagstaff,Sedona Aug Yeah I know but its a dry heat! will I need any warm cover for the Grand Canyon area like in the mornings rides or eves? Cant wait to go!!!!!!

So how long is the trip, and where else ya planning on going ? Monsoon season out here right now, so be prepared for fast changing weather conditions ! I live in Payson, and can tell ya there's a long list of good riding roads in the state , but this time of year ya might wanna try to stay in central / northern Az. as the summertime temps in the valley and southern half can hit 110-115 + . Ridin' in those temps is NO FUN[sm=smiley16.gif] The saying " its a dry heat " is a[sm=smiley35.gif] joke to most " zonies ' ! Hot is hot !

Bit strange to reply to this one, being a dutchie.....
We did this route last september as part of a 2500 mls, 14 day roadtrip and I can tell you that in Flagstaff we found ice on our seats in the morning.....
Daytemp. are high as Roofuss said but if you want to, you can, no worries! We did it and loved it!
Have a blowthrough jacked for the day and and wear a nice warm sweater over thatin the morninghours.
Man, I wish it was one year ago today!
