We're planning the same. Stops in Binghamton, Sandy Pond, Clayton then into Canada if we make it that far.

 

Nice set up. I have been lusting over a Rickrak set up. I do have the correct luggage rack.🤔

 

One of our new stops on Rt 3 in Sandy Pond is a bbq place called the Pond Pit.
VG brisket.

A little known, but 1940’s funky stop, is Dan’s chicken shack outside Mexico, NY. Also off Rt 3. Brutally primitive. Bar is made outta pallets.

BuzzCap - I went in once. It’s an old field stone farmhouse. It’s off a main drag, surrounded by hotels.

FWIW - IMO , the best Italian in town is a 10-min walk from there. Joey’s.
Downstairs is linen tablecloths and kinda cool NYC-ish. Upstairs is more relaxed.
