VG brisket.
A little known, but 1940s funky stop, is Dans chicken shack outside Mexico, NY. Also off Rt 3. Brutally primitive. Bar is made outta pallets.

BuzzCap - I went in once. It’s an old field stone farmhouse. It’s off a main drag, surrounded by hotels.
FWIW - IMO , the best Italian in town is a 10-min walk from there. Joey’s.
Downstairs is linen tablecloths and kinda cool NYC-ish. Upstairs is more relaxed.
