When I was immigrating here from Canada 34 years ago, the last time I crossed I had all my stuff with me packed in an Old Honda Civic. They stopped us at the border and separated us in 2 rooms and started interrogating us. They were accusing Mrs of smuggling me in the country. Like we were doing a good job of it. I had my Greencard coming and was waiting for the consulate to call. It took a good hour of grilling us. , She had all the form numbers and dates memorized like a woman does. They finally let us go. That was a trip to remember.

Crossed over Canadian border at Niagara Falls prepared for lots of questions. ONLY thing gal asked me was purpose of trip, how long will we be in Canada, do we have any weapons with us, & what is your tag number. Crossed back into US at Sault Ste. Marie. Asked if we had anything to declare and, once again, what is your tag number. Easy peasy
Leaving Kansas on the Tri-Glide pulling our Bushtec trailer in mid June and headed east to visit "The Ark Encounter" in Kentucky. Then Northeast to Canton OH for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Then up to Erie PA and over to Niagara Falls. Into Canada to Tobermory Ontario. Ferry from Tobermory to South Baymouth and on to Sault Ste. Marie. Down to Green Bay (Lambeau Field Tour) then Milwaukee for the Harley Museum. Then back towards Kansas. For those up north what is the weather that we can expect in mid June in southern Ontario? We've been on car ferries with the motorcycle many times in the Seattle area but never on one up where we are going on this trip. Can anyone give me any insite on the Tobermory to South Baymouth Ferry other than the info on their website? Thanks for any information you can provide!!!
Sounds like a great ride. I hope the heat has not made your ride too difficult.
i live near Tobermorry and as others said , be an hour early for sure . leave yourslef some time to go have fish and chips for lunch , there a few spots but the best one is up on the hill beside the fudge shop , has a yellow and blue sign . a couple items to make note of , theres limited fuel on the way to tobermorry , i think 1 fue1 stop for an hour south and they are all mom and pop stations that close odd hours . the second item - watch your speed , its a huge heat score as theres so many idiots racing up the 2 land road- big police presence and they dont cut any slack its 80km/h limit ( 50 mph) dont go over 55mph of you will get a ticket for sure , i was up thewre last week and lots of radar and unmarked cars have a safe trip
