5 years ago today we bought our 2020 CVO Road Glide brand new from Bloomington Indiana Harley Davidson. I'm very thankful for the experiences on this machine and I'm still in love with it as if it were day 1. 49 states (rental in Hawaii), 3 Canadian provinces, 20 Iron Butt rides, and several national parks/scenic byways in that time. Feels like we're just getting started!
Oddly enough the last one needed in the lower 48 last year was Nebraska. Right in the center of the country! Hoping for Alaska in 2027.
Congrats my friend. Always like seeing your rides and stories. Feel free to hit me up when you start planning for Alaska. I've been there 15 times and have pretty good knowledge of the most scenic roads. Trip of a lifetime when you go.
And believe me....time flies by much faster as you (I/we) get older!
Seems hard to believe that my "new" 2018 Tri-Glide is now 7 years old!
The longest trip that I have taken with it (over 6100 miles 21 days) ride in 2019 when I met up with my now-late-cousin in Erie, PA and we rode (and ferried) to Newfoundland (Canada) then back to Michigan, with him returning to TN a few days later.
Prior to that trip I had visited Nova Scotia back in '80 but didn't have enough time to do the Cabot Trail but on this trip after returning from Newfoundland we had time to not only go to do the Cabot Trail we also ferried over to Prince Edward Island (PEI) and then crossing the 8-mile long Confederation Bridge that connects PEI to the Providence of New Brunswick that borders the U.S./Maine.
