I know this sounds like a contradiction in that we all would rather get to where we're going on the scenic back roads...but alot of times it just ain't going to happen. Just curious which superslabs or parts of superslabs you find the best in terms of scenery, condition etc. in your experience touring.
I-5 in southern Oregon from Roseburg to the CA line isn't bad and I-84 going up the Columbia River Gorge, a National Scenic Area, is great. I-84 between Pendleton and La Grande in eastern Oregonis pretty good.
I ride a lot on superslabs myself,I enjoy riding I-40,It has some nice senery around the NC mountains,Seems like the people are very curtious on I-40,They don't drive like thier in a big hurry. They will give alot.
Now I-85 is another story,People are running to and fro so quick they will run all over you and not even slow down to see if your dead.Stay safe
I-70 in Kansas used to be one of the roughest riding interstates in the country. Don't know if it's been improved since I rode it several years ago. I-10 between Tucson and Phoenix sucks too, there are more rude a$$holes per mile on that stretch than any other road I've ever been on!
