End of August \\;the wife and I \\;are heading to Oak Island NS via 91North, kangamangus highway and presidential range, thru Bangor and then the ferry \\;at St John,NB to Digby,NC. \\; No camping, hotels only. \\; And I know I'd better make reservations before I leave because there will be no rooms. \\; I been thru Maine in August with no reservations and there were no room, hotel after hotel after hotel.
 \\;
Has anyone taken the St John,NB to Digby,NS ferry? \\; If so how long of a ride is it? Its cheaper then the Bar Harbor to Yarmouth,NS ferry.
 \\;
There is so many different ways to go. \\; Mapquest and other recommend staying on the main Interstates even if it takes you 60 miles south before heading back north. \\; Ain't gonna do it.

We made the trip in 2002 the dollar was good then and because of the rate it was cheaper to go to St. John to get to Nova Scotia. \\; One thing nice when in NS is their tourisim we got brochures and every day would use their 1-800 # and set a room up for us later in the day worked great none of that hunting for a room plus they had their booths everywhere. \\; Here is a link to our site which has some links that may help you. \\; All of our trips have been great but the NS has always been number 1. \\; Enjoy... http://michelmarciamotorcycletrips.com/Novascotia.html

Thanks for the input. \\; I too have been riding to NS since 2004 but usually go by way of Bar Harbor and its too darn expensive now. And I never get any further then Oak Island. I am fortunate enough to be freinds with the people who live there. \\; I am also facinated with the mystery and you may be too if you check into. \\; Don't bother if your sense of curiosity is easily tweeked.
