 \\;PA 6 is a great ride..
In June I went from Scranton west to PA 15 (stopped in Mansfield at the Harley Dealer), then up into Corning NY \\; (corning has a Glass Museum).. you might consider reversing the route (parts of Route 6 wind thru cornfields.. up, down, S turns.. sometimes no shoulders.. but it's a beautiful ride.

 \\;If you do come into Scranton, avoid I-81 from NY State line south to Scranton... It's single lane with construction..
 \\;jump over to Route 11.. it parallells 81 and is more scenic.. (connects with Route 6 for a bit)
 \\;
On route 6 Near Wellsboro is also the Pa Grand Canyon

there's a couple of Best Western's around.. they're friendly to Hd bikers.. door front parking, rags for cleaning, and Hd discount \\; you can check their website

+1
we took 6 west to Coldersport PA took south PA-44 to PA-144/44 then onto PA-144 beautiful roads, little traffic, we stopped in Renova (sportsman pub) for lunch great food, then south on PA-144 to US-322. we lost our way, and missed a turn, but still arrived in Gettysburg. But you really need a week to take in that
I'd miss the Scranton, Wilkes-Barre traffic and take a route south before this.
On way home route 44 near Jersy town and accessable from route 220 north to Couldesport is another nice ride.  \\; \\;
