I just got back from a stay in Islamorada, Florida. We rented four Harleys from Sickle's Harley-Davidson, and rode Highway 1 down to Key West. What a beautiful ride. Also..the people at Sickle's, in Marathon, Florida, are very nice and easy to work with! God bless!
Just got back yesterday from a drive to the Keys. Left Friday, drove to Miami, down to Key West on Saturday (beautiful day, no clouds or wind but quite a bit of traffic), and drove part way back to Jax on Sunday (Marathon) and rest of trip on Monday. It was all about the ride. Almost every biker I saw, and there were a bunch, waved. Good times.
There were 4 couples that rented a house for a week in Islamorada. We rented the bikes only one day..the weather was fantastic! So many Harley riders..and as usual they were all very nice! I had never been in the keys before, and I was anticipating the ride over the Seven Mile bridge..only problem was we crossed over it so fast..I didn't realize that I was on that particular bridge until we arrived in Key West and I asked where the heck it was!
