Some friends and I to a ride to the little town of Julian in So. Cal. What a beautiful experience. The guys kept saying, "this is why I got my harley".
The road out of Temecula is hwy 79 and there is about 50-60 mi of unabated riding. There are some casinos along the way if you feel the need to gamble or just get something cold to drink. But Julian is a quaint little town with alot of friendly people and some great resturaunts, They even have a little store called Hog Heaven, where you can shop for all kinds of cool Harley clothes and stuff. I highly recommend this ride if you are in the area.
A great addition to a vist to Julian is to go south out of town on 79 through lake Cuyamaca to old Hwy 80, take a left through Pine Valley to the Sunrise Hwy, witch brings you back to 79 about 6 miles from Julian. A couple of hours in the most scenic part of the county.
Don't forget the apple pie in Julian.
