thanks for all the suggestions guys. I really appreciate it! I'm actually headed to the beach in Ventnor. I had planned on leaving today (Thursday) but now can't. If I left early AM Friday is there any chance I could make it across the bridge and down or am I just crazy? Looks like I may have to postpone. :C

Go on Thursday. It will be the worst ride of your life on a Friday afternoon or Saturday morning. Take the Tappan Zee to the GSP. Take the Black Horse Pike or, a nice cool down ride would be getting off the GSP at Exit 63, go east on rt. 72 and south on rt. 9 to rt. 30.
Just don't get caught on the GSP after 1500.
