Default Need help RI to Nova Scotia

Hi Folks, I thought this would be easy to find a site to help me plan a scenic trip
in mid August from RI up to Nova Scotia (maybe to Maine take the Ferry over, then ride back
through Canada). But not having much luck finding scenic road sites.

Can you folks help?

We intend do the trip up and back all by bike no trailer. Just the two of us, hotels at night, we have nine or 10 days.

Thanks,
Joe

Which Ferry? Portland or Bar Harbor? That will make a difference in routes

Default Bar Harbor

I was thinking of Bar Harbor, then ferry to Yarmouth then tooling around the coast then
going home to RI again by land all the way. I'm hoping 9 days will be enugh to take my time.
3 days there, 2 or 3 days there, then 3 days back???

I was looking at the new road trip planner on HD's site, but it doesn't really help you
select the most scenic routes.

Thanks,
Joe

+1 on the Cabot Trail. We went up through Calais. Don't forget your rain gear.

Cabot Trail is a must.P E I is beautiful as well. You can take a ferry off the island to New Glasgow & then onto Cape Breton. The tide change at Reversing Falls in Staint John NB is amazing. I did it from CT.in 8 days with a ride on the"CAT"

Whatever you do, don't pass up a stop at Liscombe Lodge on the south coast of NS.
Best food, accommodations, and atmosphere in the province.
web site is http://www.liscombelodge.ca/liscombe_location.html

I holed up there for a few days while on a rough ocean cruise and the mutinous crew (myself included) didn't want to leave.
