Texas ain't HOT. Yuma, Arizona is HOT. 118 in the summer, and no problems. Put an oil cooler on the bike, and you'll be fine. I'm planning a ride to Myrtle Beach on June 30, I will motor through Texas on July 1, no problem. It'll be hot, Dallas is hot, but I'll cover my skin, and drink some water every hour.
Bill, I kinda like the idea of hosing myself down...I can definitely see how the crowd around you would think you've lost your ever lovin' mind!
