I have an extra day planned for the unexpected. I went to Colorado back in June and the first day of the ride was a 1000mile day so I know I can do the long haul. I know a lot of you guys have done long trips. I am looking for any advice or tips for a trip like this. I think I have most everything coverd, but it never hurts to get some extra feedback. Thanks
5 days of superslab??? Not my thing, I would take 2 lane hiways to the Black Hills and spend 3 days. Its the best time of the year out there, but thats just my opinion.....and experience.
Propane Peddler,
Sweet ride job well done. I noticed you are from Inwood, IA. I grew up just west of you in Alcester, SD. Small world.
I wish I had the time to spend on the road this trip, but I only have the short amount of time so I make the most of it. You are dead right about the Hills. I have been through there twice this summer. One of my favorite places to ride. Who did your bike? FBI?
Thanks for the compliments, I built this bike after driving Klockwerks display truck to some events. It is pretty much everything they make for an Electraglide, plus alot more. Check out my "garage" page.
No tips, or added advice. Grew up in Minneapolis and now live (for now) in El Paso, TX. Have family in Phoenix, AZ. Your thread topic caught my eye. Be safe and wish you the best of times on your trip. I am jealous you all have the time to do it.
