Midwest Loop
Contemplating a trip through the Midwest to include stops at the National Motorcycle Museum in Anamosa, IA (and maybe J&P Cycles); Harley Davidson Museum in Milwaukee, WI; then on to the U.P. Michigan to ride across the Mackinac Bridge; then back home to Ohio. Haven't decided on a route yet, so I'm looking for any "can't miss" stops or "gotta ride" roads along the way.
from milwaukee take 43 north to green bay, lambeau field and the packer hall of fame is a nice sight to see.
i've been to the museum in iowa and milwaukee, both are very nice. iowa was 2 hours to see and milwaukee was 3.5 hours to see everything. when i left both building i felt satisfied that i didn't miss anything.

"National Motorcycle Museum in Anamosa, IA" - great way to spend half a day! Well worth the time. "and maybe J&P Cycles" - unless you need something specific - don't waste your time. Don't get me wrong. I've had nothing but great dealings with J&P, but I would not make a stop at their store a priority on a trip. I have stoped there, but shopping from their catalog is just as easy as shoping at the store. " Harley Davidson Museum in Milwaukee, WI". I recommend this highly! Another great place to spend a day!!! "then on to the U.P. Michigan to ride across the Mackinac Bridge" - I suggest planning an extra day or three for this portion of the trip. Stay in Macinaw City for the night. Take the ferrie to Mackinac Island and wander around a little - maybe even take a bicycle ride around the island. Kinda dorky, but I am a dork and I enjoyed it. After riding across the bridge, take every opportunity to get off the main roads and just wander around. The UP is a beautiful place to just ride and explore. If you see a sign telling you to take a 50 mile side trip to a bear sanctuary - take it. You will not regret it.
