Default Las Vegas in October

My wife and I are going to Vegas in October for our 30th. We are planning to rent a bike for the day to see the sights in the area. This is our first time out there and hoping to get any info on what to see, possible routes to take and any other wisdom you might pass along. Thanks.

Take the ride to Hoover Dam. Some nice twisties and the....Well it's DAM(N) Awesome!!! Grand Canyon isn't too far either. Or you could head south to Lake Havasu City and see the London Bridge. Decent brew pub there to get your thirst quenched.

Riding on The Strip...Lot's of people, lot's of cars, lot's of traffic lights. Not my idea of fun. Where are you staying?

Were staying at the Paris....We are not much into losing money so we plan on going out to see the area by day then checking out the night life. Being from Ohio were pretty stoked about riding in the high desert and seeing the sights. It sounds like there is good riding not far from the strip...

Remember that it can be very hot and very cold day/night there, so come prepared.

Ok, we loved Red Rock Canyon, Valley of Fire, the ride down to Hoover Dam is pretty cool.......continue down to Kingman AZ and then take a side trip up into Oatman. Gotta be the coolest place going! The main st of Oatman is rt 66.........from there, head on down to Lake Havasu City. Have a good time!
