Yesterday was my first long ride on my new (to me) bike. I'm sure most of you will think it trivial but for me it was a lot of fun and a confidence builder. It has been years since I have been on a bike and even then they were much smaller enduro-type.
I got the bike on 10-12-10, got my permit and some gear and have stayed close to the house for the most part.
Yesterday I got together with some buds from work and we met for lunch and then went for a ride. I put about sixty miles on the bike and am starting to feel more comfortable.
The day started out chilly but it warmed up nicely.
My MSF course is in two weeks and I am looking forward to getting started in the class.
Five Guys Burgers and Fries.
That's one of my buds burgers -
Before I got my Deluxe 2 years ago I hadn't been on a bike in nearly 25 years. All the principles were still there, but it did take some riding time before I could really relax on her. Just keep riding, it'll keep getting better! Nice burger by the way!
Same here .......rode MX for years and then purchased an 03 Fatboy. It takes time but you will be stretching your legs on longer jaunts before you know it!
If you dont mind a tag along next hit me up, Im from the area!
That would be neat. I will send you a pm and let you know. It won't be for a couple of weeks though. I have a msf course soon that will take up some of that time.
