Default ROT Rally rookie needs info

Planning to attend my first ROT Rally this year. For those of you that have been in recent years, please share any tips or thoughts on what I can expect. Are there can't miss things I should do or others that I should stay away from? Thanks.

It's been about ten years since I last went. With that being said it was a great time!!!!! 6th street is were all the parties went down. The vendor area is pretty cool as well. lots of good riding in and around that area. Enjoy.

Ride the Hill Country. Fredricksburg, Luckenbach. Concerts at rally site every night as well as wild night life. Party on 6th street Fri. Night. Vendors, and more vendors. Schlitterbahn in New Braunsfels. Salt Lick BBQ near Buda. The Oasis on Lake Travis for dinner sunset, and great entertainment. Hot as hell, drink lots of fluids. I-35 is a parking lot all hours of the day, use the toll road to get south of town. I have been there all but 3 of the years. Bike parade blows unless you are first in line, did it once, never again. While your in the area plan on going about 2 hours south of Austin and ridin the Hill country, specifically the 3 Sisters Hwy 335, 336, 337. Best twisties in TX. If you head over to Hunt, TX while your in the area you can check out the TX Stone Henge, not sure what the guy that built it was thinking but its something to see and the road to get there follows the Guadalope river. Great ride.
