"The Mackinac Bridge Authority has a "Drivers Assistance Program" available 24/7 for all vehicle types. The program provides drivers for motorists who are uncomfortable with driving across the Mackinac Bridge. If you are traveling northbound, pull over on the wide shoulder of I-75 located immediately after the last exit (Jamet Street) to Mackinaw City. If you have a cell phone you can call 906-643-7600 to ask for a driver or there is a phone booth near the fence at that location. Instructions for using the phone are posted in the phone box. If you are southbound, just ask a fare collector for assistance. There is no additional fee for this service. If you have questions, please call 906-643-7600. "
It says "all vehicle types". I would call to make sure. Personally, I would be way more nervous about handing my bike over to a stranger to drive. It also says on there somewhere that the right lane does not have grates, and has a speed limit of 20mph. That is what I plan on riding in, because I want to take my time and enjoy it.
I've been across on both the concrete and steel grating on my Electra Glide not a bad trip although I much preferred the concrete lane, just take your time and pay attention

Ahh I misunderstood your first post I thought she was a passenger.
You may want to call the bridge authority but one of the times I crossed there was a State truck parked by the toll gate that had a trailer that looked like it was set up to haul either motorcycles or bicycles
My wife and I rode across the bridge a couple years ago and she loved it. Of course, she also likes parasailing, hot-air baloon rides, and skydiving (tandum). The bridge looks intimidating, but it really is no big deal at all to ride across it.
well called the bridge authority today and found out they do not trailer motorcycles across but do have drivers that will ride your bike across for you at no extra charge , they did tell me you should call afew days in advance to make sure one of there bike drivers would be available
lived in Michigan my whole life, been across that bridge in all kinds of weather. It's lenght (5 miles)and wind is the thing that can make this bridge scary for some, add a little snow and Yugos (true story) have been known to lose control and plunge hundreds of feet to the water. But on a nice day you can ride the grate lane and look down at the water hundreds of feet below, and it's as if your flying on a harley.
I've been over plenty of bridges, grates and pavement. As long as you ride your line, no problem. Is there something special about this one?
5 miles long , very low guard rails , [ for the sinic view ] , allways pretty windy , moves side to side like 20 - 30 feet something like that , yes it is a suspention bridge , you really don't feel it , not really that bad but I guess if you you have some fobias it could intimidate you , I really think if the weather is desent my wife will drive it across herself and then be so prodeof her self then go back to work and tell her friends that SHE did it
