Big trip suggestions
I'll be setting out on an extended road trip this Sunday 5/29
I'll leave MA and head north west to Hamilton, ON Canada and then cross back in to the states at the bottom of Lake Huron. Cross MI with stops in Detroit and Jackson.
Head to Chicago and then south east through IN through Fort Wayne, IN and in to Ohio stopping in Zanesville, OH and up to Pittsburgh, PA.
I have to meet my friends in Winchester, VA on Thursday 6/2 for trip down to the Dragon and back to MA no Mon 6/6
If you have any suggestions on ANYTHING, I'd appreciate it. Food, Drink, Roads, cheap places to stay,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,ANYTHING at all would be great.
I've found a lot of bad ones over the years but I've also found a few good ones for under $50 a night. I've never stayed at a cabin but seen them place to place. I don't need anything fancy, minimalist at best.
You can sometimes find good deals in less populated areas between the bigger cities. Hidden jewels, like the small town greasy spoons you see on the food network or travel channel.

The wife & I are headed that way on Saturday. You might, if time permits, travel the Blue Ridge Parkway as part of your journey. Fantastic views.
The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
I've done a lot of riding like this over the years and your right at 48 it can wear you down. But I'm in pretty good shape and know my limits.
What I've typically done is ride 6 to 800 miles the first day in to Canada.
Thats a long 12 to 16 hours in the saddle but I've done it many times before.
With that kind of mileage behind me and done I can spend the next 3 days on the back roads enjoying the scenery. If I want to make up some time I can hit a highway.
When the time comes I'll run down to VA to meet up with my friends for the second leg of the trip.
I've also been known to get to the first spot on the map and stay an extra day or two before turning around and coming home lol.
And thanks to all that have replied. I appreciate the help.
