Traverse City Mi. Lodging Info Help Needed. Please...
Guys, i am headed up to the Traverse City area with a few guys next week and was wondering if anyone could direct me to some cheap places to stay. We will be doing day trips and just need a place to sleep and get cleaned-up before a new day out.Cheaper the better!!!Only using Traverse City because it is a larger Metro area.We can stay anywhere... :-)
I have read up on alot of Great Riding areas in that region of the Beautiful State of MI. but any info would be appreciated!!!
TIA!!!!!! Tim..........o~`o.....................
There are alot of places just outside to stay, do a search but make a reservation as it is a busy place. One suggestion for eats is a place called Apache Trout, mildly priced and excellent food. On the water, west side of the bay. If you have not been to the area a very well known local road on your way there is county road 119, I believe it is state road M22. Worth the ride, full of twists and along the water.
I have checked the internet and what im finding is all the big chain places with the pools and such,I was hopeing to find a Ma and Pa place..

Thanks for the tip!!! I have read that 119 is very nice!!!
I stay at this place all the time. Its just outside of TC and they let you keep your Bike under the overhang next to your room. Real nice folks run the place. http://www.interlochenmotel.com/index.php
You'll love M119. it's a beautiful ride. At the north end in Cross Village
there is a polish restaurant called Legs Inn,
really good food and a nice view of Lake Michigan.
If your there you better take a trip across the bridge and stop at a drive in just inside of St Ignace called Cyldes... let me know if you took down the big C
All though not a ma & pa place we stayed in the holiday inn right on the lake, mainly because it had a bar and patio on the water and within 2 blocks walking distance of the town bars and restaurants. Traveling through the sand dunes was pretty cool and take the ride up to mackinaw to cross the bridge, the is a park on the other side where you can take some cool pics of your bikes with the bridge as back ground.
