We are heading down from New Hampshire and have a extra day to ride. Looking for a side trip off of 95 down through Charlseton, SC. I have heard there is some good riding and thought we might like to see the old sections of the city.
Kind of a ride through, then stay back close to 95 for the night.
Anything will be helpful.

Charleston is a personal fave to see from a bike.
Some locals should chime in here but-
Be sure you go over the new bridge -
If you like American history don't miss the battery area / Fort Sumter.
Google search will have a lot of info.
When you get off I95 you will see "Harleyville" - good photo op for folks back home if you are so inclined.
501 /17 isn't to bad....
quick side trip on the USS Yorktown..
Downtown area "old Southern Charm Historic district"
Continue S on 17 to 21, thru Beaufort and take 170 into Savannah.
Or go straight over to 95 again to exit 33, plenty of signs
Savannah and Charleston have an un-written fight who has the "best" Historic district"
Charleston is quit larger but both are good
