Just how bad will the Police presence be in Daytona, St Augistine? I've let a few people scare me. Now, Im wondering if Im going to have a good time, or be looking my shoulder, or mirror the whole time. I realize I can't get drunk and ride but tickets for aftermarket pipes, no eye protection, and no back seat. What the hell man? Am I being pariniod, or is there some survival guide? Yell, Im a bike week virgin.
know the laws before you go...if you violate them you get what you deserve. don't run red lights, speed, or be obnoxious with your pipes. a little common sense goes a long way in staying out of trouble. you will not have any problems unless you create them.
As for St Auggie...
Eye protection is required and will get you pulled over in a heartbeat.
Backseat is only required if you have a passanger, and they have to have their own footepgs.
If you have loud pipes and you blip...you'll more than likely get a ticket.
Cops are less tolerant around the waterfront area.

How true..If you dont stand out you wont get hassled..
I was down there for Biketoberfest last year for 6 days and no problems. You really need to watch your speed going across the bridge coming from the track. I saw them shooting radar at all hours of the day and night. They would sit just as you start coming down the crest of the bridge. Usually sitting on bikes just waiting. I saw no problems with them harassing anyone.
Just be smart, not a smart ***. Most are good guys unless you give them a reason to be hard. I never had a problem with them. Stay away from the speed demon rice boys and just have a good time.
Been to Daytona for Bike Week and Biketoberfest about a dozen times and have never been hassled. Like others have said don't be a dick and you won't get treated like one.
