Don't be an azzhole [you know what I mean] and you'll have no problems at all. No eye protection WILL get you stopped in a hurry. Straight pipes, apes, etc. are fine as long you're not being a you-know-what.
Thanks for setting my mind at ease. Im definitely not a dick or an azzhat. Im just average joe who might want to drink a couple of beers, and scared that I will get pulled over on a technicallity.

Then you'll be fine. I'm that same guy. I go every year, all week, and never have a problem. The Daytona cops aren't "looking for a reason to pull you over". Every one I've met and talked with has been quite cool, and most ride, just like we do.
Never harrassed
They do patrol in cars, Bikes, SUV's etc..
They do have Sport bikes that they cruz the roads on and "find" the packs doing wheelies, excessive speed, stunts, etc...
I've seen morons with 1 yr olds on back pulled over
Ape Hangers,tags hidden etc..
Dont do anything stupid you'll be fine.
They are there to protect you
Man, unless you stand out in the big crowd you will be in no trouble.
Florida has a big Police presence all of the time and you can be sure it is beefed up for all major events including Spring Break, the Daytona 500 week and of course Bike Weeks.
Just carry on like usual and you will not be hassled, racking the pipes while at a stand still on Main or Beach Street attracts attention, guess what, DAH!
