I just wanted to share a really nice ride on a road I was on today...I'm from DE so you guys from PA will probably say "really". Left Dover this morning headed north on 896 to Strausburg (sp) went to the Fireside Tavern for lunch (great lunch) left there and headed west on 741 toward Columbia across the river to 624 south...along the Susquehana River...then to 425 south nice road not much traffic and good roads...took that to 74 south then 372 east....had a blast.
Next time you're over that way, if you have time, take 74 NORTH, up north of Carlisle PA. Up over the mountain & back down the other side. Great ride with a few twisties & horseshoe curves. It's such a nice ride that you won't mind turning around at the end, and going back south on it to get home!
If you do the ride again I'll suggest a little twist and from 741 take 324 down the east side of the river. Nice twistes and scenic as well. Once down to the river you'll have to take River road to 372, it's not in great shape but it's only about 5-10 miles. Ride Safe!
I've ridden up there for the last two years and love it. Here are some pics from one of my trips. Hope to do a ride up there again this year, but going across the CBBT, up the Eastern Shore of MD, to Lancaster and York, and down the Skyline Drive and BRP home.

let me save you some aggrevation
I am originally from Lancaster Co, moved to OBX NC in the mid 90's. With alot of family up there still I travel back there and ride, party etc. 13 up the eastern shore is 1 of the most miserable rides I have ever done.
I would reccomend you take 17 N from the Williamsburg VA area to 301 to Baltimore then take 50W to Ocean city MD then head North or South as you wish. Just my experience, I go up there 4-5 times a year and I will not take 13 anymore car nor my scooter.
If you do run the CBBT like you say, pm me after and tell me what you think.

LMAO! I have some family in Princess Anne, MD so I know what you're talking about as far as 13 being miserable. I want to do the CBBT one time so that's the price I have to pay for doing so, I suppose. Not looking for that to be a highlight!
