If you ride Route 66 through Oklahoma, you can see:
Statue and hometown of Mickey Mantle in Commerce; Coleman Theater in Miami; 1926 Iron Bridge over Rock Creek; Totem Pole city in Foyil; Will Rogers Museum in Claremore; The big blue whale in Catoosa; Round Red Barn in Arcadia; the Rock Cafe and Sky Liner Motel in Stroud; the lincoln motel in Chandler; and the Oklahoma City National Memorial in OKC. I rode Route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica 4 weeks ago.

Only thing going on in Oklahoma right now is the heat, triple digits for at least this week. There is a great burger joint at exit 47 on I-40 in Canute, Ok. Leslie's bar and grill, very biker and family friendly, better burgers than Meers. Just a friendly word of advice if you are on I-40W about the Yukon area make sure you have everything on your bike secure. Thats is the worst stretch of highway you will encounter.

There is the Rt 66 museum in Clinton. Not much too it, you can walk through it in about 20 minutes taking your time. But some what interesting, neat pictures and a few old cars and such. Plus it's out of the heat for a bit. The italian joint across the street is pretty generous with the food and it tasted pretty decent.

Two days from South Fork to Memphis does not allow time for any sight seeing ventures. From South Fork to OKC is at least 14 hours. OKC to Memphis is also a decent days ride.
