We're headed down for the first time but only for one night and then tripping up along the Delaware River to the Catskills to finish out our 3-4 day weekend. Interested in info as well regarding places to be, places to stay etc
i went to ocean city with my family in the early 2000's.. didn't like it all all. everything was illegal:tattoos, head shops, beach ball/Frisbee pets on the beach. the beach was off limits after 9:00. 10-11:00 curfew for everyone. everything was lined with police in cars, bicycles, motorcycles, horses,on foot..the beach is lined with 6 foot weeds you had to climb over to get to the ocean. part of the year they have a age limit to be in the town,i think it was over 30yo, we had to change the week we went because me, my sister, and brotherinlaw were all considered under age.we would of had to stay inside the hotel for the week while my folks had fun
Wife and I headed down the Sunday before, meeting family and spending the week. Usually stay at Frontier Town, but my brother sprung for a Condo for the week
Always enjoy the time in OC and the bike fest is an added bonus.
We went last year, had a great time. Only had rain one day, of course that was the same day a tornado his 10 blocks away. We stayed at Castle In the Sand.
Not a 5 star motel, but it was fine for what we wanted. We only used the rooms to sleep and shower.
We've been staying north of OC these last few years. Rehoboth, Dewey area. Easy to find rooms, good, inexpensive resturants, and the ride down to OC along the coast is nice.
