Well, we've had a few bumps in the road over the past few days.

A few quick items.

1. I changed the user interface to what I hope will be more manageable and easier to navigate.

2. The number of members joining has grown considerably in only a few days. Thanks for that!

3. Please take the time to update your profile. My hope is that this will allow felllow riders, like myself, to see who is in their area and facilitate the process of getting people together to ride.

4. Although I believe I've worked out the most obvious kinks, I think for the most part you'll find that the website is up and running smoothly.

My next plan for the site is to add the ability to view/share what each of us is riding with other members. If you've visited "My World" you've probably noticed this is very similar to the "Wall" on Facebook. I'm trying to create a concept similar to this; however there is no real need (IMO) for this to become a historical record of everything you've ever done on this website. I think of it as more of a place to share a few things about yourself with other members.

Again, thanks for joining to those of you who have. And to those who haven't, give it a try, it can't hurt to try to meet some people with a common passion.

You should call the site "RidingTogetherInTheUSA.com" no provision whatsoever to include anything outside your borders.

Totally useless for anyone else in the world.

Thanks for the criticism. Not exactly what I was hoping for, but you make a good point. Please remember I'm building this from scratch, on my own, in my spare time. I'm a professional software developer during the day. Lately, I've been spending the bulk of my evenings working on this website....with no help.

I'll take your suggestion to heart however, and add the ability for a user to identify what country he lives in as well, since that seems to be a big sticking point for you.

Thanks again.

Also, made a big update this evening. Moved the menu bar up to the top to make it easier to navigate and hopefully more intuitive.

OK, now I support foreign countries. It's not perfect, but at least you can create a user and indicate that you aren't in the USA. I'll put this on the list of to-dos and add better foreign support.

If you look close, you'll also notice that I don't support entering any bikes that aren't Harley's either, but I'd like to get around to it, just haven't had the time.

Just joined up. Looks like it might be a really neat tool. I will keep checking back. Maybe someone in my area will sign up.

Thanks to everyone who has joined. I keep working on it each evening. I could use some advice. My intent with this site was to allow people to meet, find fellow riders to ride with, etc.

When it comes to privacy, etc. I want to be able to allow a user to look at another user's profile; however I want each member to be able to give permission to what is seen.

Is there something that seems off limits here, or is there some piece of data about yourself that I haven't even considered that would be worthwhile in tracking and then sharing in your user profiles?

Thanks.
Chris
