Leading up to rally all week weather forecast kept getting worse and worse 70% chance of rain as of Thursday afternoon forecast for Friday and Saturday. I made sat minute decision to call off trip. Forecast as of today calls for almost no rain - UGH!
Anyhow hope those of you who went have a great time and see you next year.
I took Thursday off to run over, and same thing, 70 percent chance of rain. Friday looked a little better, so I snuck away from work and ran over. I didn't make it to Dickson Street, just to the pin stop.
These are some crappy pictures I took but kind of shows the skies. Ended up getting rained on on the way home. But all in all, glad I ran over. It was packed out!
A buddy and I were going to run over today but his Street Glide decided to act up. And the weather this morning hasn't been the greatest. May run over tomorrow just to ride and see all the bikes headed the other way.
We did our annual pilgrimage Wed, Thurs, and Friday. Waited out the rain before heading over Wed, got sprinkled on during the ride over Thurs, perfect Friday. Nice rides home each night.
Came down Thursday morning, on the way down got rained on, was going around a curve and tires got on the painted stripe and from there I was no longer riding a bike, I was skating. Went all the way from inside to off the pavement, rode the grass and gravel, dodged a couple road signs and came back up on the road saving it. Told the guys I was leading that lesser biker wouldn't have made it Bwaaahahaha.
The rally though has been great this yr, sorry you cancelled and missed it.
Rode that direction this morning. A little cool out. And saw a lot of bikes headed the other way. Got to Rogers on 412, then turned around and rode with a couple different groups on the way home. Had a blast! Wish I could have made for the whole rally. Next year for sure.
Rode up Monday from Houston, hit some rain at the Pig Trail HD for about an hour on wednesday. All clear until the ride home on saturday which turned into 9 hours of misery. Rode all of 7, 23, 71 and the Devil's Den.
We went for the 3rd time in a row and had a BLAST! It never really rained in Fayetteville. I did chatch a little rain in the hills on a ride and got a little wet mainly because I'm fenderless but still had a blast! We rode down from just north of KC.
