Default Daytona Bike week help

Hey fellow riders. I will be traveling to Daytona this year for my first trip to Bike Week. Very excited. My plans are to trailer our bikes down to Sarasota where we will stay for a couple days and do some fishing with the family. We will ride our bikes from there to Daytona. Stay in Daytona for a couple days to see the event and then travel toward Clearwater for a night ending back in Sarasota.

My question is where is the best place to stay in Daytona for the event? I would like to stay in a nicer more high end hotel that is close to activities. I am not sure how spread out everything is. Any suggestions?

I recently read a post by another member not to stay on Atlantic because of the noise. He said sleeping is impossible. Others say stay in Mertle. Not sure what to do. I am not a party animal. I don't do well with inconsiderate kids that raise hell all night. Not that there is anything wrong with it but I would rather avoid it.,

Very simple and I'm not being a wise guy: Bring ear plugs and shooting ear mitts. you might think "how can sleep with ear phones on?" Answer, you will either do it or be delirious from lack of sleep. This does not work if you get a room above the disco with bass vibrating. Requesting a room away from the front street might be helpful if you're not too close to the pool parties.

Daytona is very spread-out over a city with several area hubs of activity.
Each hub being several miles away from the next.
For example: Speedway, Bruce Rossmeyer HD castle, Main Steet and Ponce Inlet are all spread apart.
You will be riding from area to area.
The "best place to stay" is rather vague based on needs, wants and wallet.
But if you are looking for less noise/upscale then look-up The Shores resort, good parking, nice place, on the beach, some under ground garage space available and the area is rather quiet. It is NOT walking distance to any activity but it is nice, quiet and just down the road a few miles from main street. It is not a party animal location or a pack people into a room type of place.
Consider getting tickets to a race at the speedway and also take the trip to St. Augustine for the day.
In my experience anything near the speedway or Rossmeyer Harley is an ear plugs and two pillows on your head location during bike week.

When you head over to Daytona from Sarasota, take SR64 ( one of the Bradenton exits) east until Avon Park, then US27 north to I-4. Nice ride on 64 that will give you a break from the interstate...

Embassy Suites Orlando North is right off I-4 in Altamonte Springs. It's an easy 50 miles
to Daytona, quiet, breakfast and no host bar included. When it rains, and it will, pull your
scoot under the entrance canopy - hell, I chained mine over night there without a bitch
from anyone. Check it out online - might be what you're looking for.

My suggestion would be to stay in Port Orange. Easy trek to all the sights and much quieter!

If you want a nice ride, take 62 to 37 thru Lakeland, find 33 north up to Groveland, then 19 to 44 to Daytona area. You don't sound like the type, but nice watering holes in Leesburg area if you want to stop for lunch.

We camp at KOA, close but quiet.
