We've stayed at the Hampton Inn right beside the Speedway on International Speedway Blvd. and had no problems with noise at all. Saying that though we're going down for a couple days this year and I was looking around yesterday for rooms and the choices are getting pretty slim.

....and don't miss the vendors on Beach Street. Go west on Main St. across the bridge and Main turns into Beach. A lot of people seem to miss this area, I don't know how but they do. It's where the Indian dealer is and usually the HOG pin stop. Lots of vendors

Hilton Garden Inn - right next to the speedway

incredible classy hotel - a little pricey, but top notch

being at the speedway you are near the action, but this is a new hotel with really good glass so you will be fine to sleep, but be at one of the hubs of activity

Went to Biketoberfest which is not as attended as the spring event. Have to agree with most everyone, all the hot spots are so spread out depending on the days your there, you might not see it all. We stayed on the beach about six blocks south of the action and were able to walk to Main Street. Even when on the beach, with the sounds of the water and waves you could still hear v-twin noises from the road. I thought it was great. Nights after 2 were not too bad, every now and then you would hear some pipes crack. Some great waterfront eats around Ponce inlet, St. Aug. is a must, highly reccomend a speedway tour if your a motorhead.
