I'm starting to get the drift that this may not be too good a rally. You're right, its a long way to ride for me, but I'm sure it will be fun, cause I always have fun going places with my bros. Before I went to Sturgis last year, I had a lot people tell me how Sturgis sucked now and I couldn't wear my club patches, etc., etc., but I ended up having the best time of my life. So I'm optimistic that will be fun as well.

Basically, all the summer vacation slots at work were taken by people senior to me, so no Sturgis, no Laconia. Ive already done Daytona, don't care to go back. That left this rally, and I figured since it is known nationally, it would be pretty good. Plus, I planned on seeing the grand canyon on the way and also stopping in Vegas for a couple of days.

I've been to Laughlin many times, but never during the rally. My buddy has been to the rally and he told me "you go there once and you'll never want to go back". Take that any way you want.

it easy for me, i live here in mohave valley, about 16 miles from laughlin. there is a casino here in mohave valley that has rv hook ups and parking, spirit mountain is what its called. might want to call them. but yeah dvis camp grounds on this side of the river is the only camp grounds i can think of. most people get a room at one of the casinos, which they charge a small fortune for. it not a bad run, plenty of people show up, vendors and ofcourse the casinos. i agree with slhanks4, go once and that might be it, but then you did it.

It's the ride, not the destination. Basically Laughlin is a shythole. As you know there are a lot a beautiful places to ride in for a couple of weeks. I don't know how deep inaharta Texas you are but that's a good centralized location. Opinions vary.
Cheers!

If you are going to be in the area anyway, might as well check out the River Run and get it off the "to do" list. There is a campground across from the Riverside Casino, but it is booked months ahead. There is a campground on the river just north of Bullhead, but it is usually full during Laughlin River Run. Past few years there has always been rooms available at the casinos. As most said, once you been......
I went almost every year, even the year of the shooting, but it has declined in the amount of vendors, attractions, events, etc.
I skipped it 4 years in a row and then went last year just to buy a Windvest shield for my glide and wanted to see the shield and look it over before buying. From riding around, didn't look like I missed much from the previous 4 years.
