After 41,000 miles across Vietnam, the Fat Boy made and emotional the Run to the Wall.
I left Mpls MN on the 16th and caught up with the National Veterans Awareness Ride coming from CA. Stopping at Vets Homes, Hospitals, and schools each day along the route. Great to thank these guys and see their faces light up when we tell them what we're doing. In many small towns people line the streets to cheer and wave flags as up to 70 bikes roll through.

Legions, VFW's, and AMVETS prepared feeds like I've never had on any road trip. Days have been long and late. After washing off road grime and forcing some net works my lights go out.

Made the Protest Ride through central DC to day. Unlike any ride ever. Leaving for Ground Zero in the morning.

Additional photos and blogs are on Harley Tracks Facebook and web site.
Would like to share more, but tired and need rest. Will blog more in a day or two.

I had many of the same experiences two years ago riding from Atlanta with a group. One thing I wish we has done was visit Walter Reed.

It's an unforgettable trip--beats Sturgis, Daytonna, and any other rally.

Man I sure had a great time at this years Rolling Thunder. This was my first ride and it was great. I recorded the entire ride from my engine guard mounted camera I had. It all turned out pretty nice. As a veteran it really opened my eyes at the amount of support for the veterans, POW, and MIA guys still out there.
Only issue I had was the lossing of my American Flag on the ride home. That truely sucked!!!!
