Wife and I are leaving on road trip next week to NM, UT, and AZ. I have included a map of the route we are taking and, of course, we will take plenty of pics. Man, I can't wait!!!!
I am guessing that stretch between G and H is the Coronado Trail and it looks like you are doing it from north to south...try to time it so you take your lunch break in Hannagan's Medow, it is south of Alpine and it is worth the stop. I live in Show Low, Az which is just to the north of the Trail and try to make it out there for lunch anytime I can.
Fuel up in Alpine, there won't be fuel until you come out on the south end of the trail.
Enjoy your ride and I am looking forward to seeing the pictures.
Thanks for the info AZDesertTroll. We will definitely check it out. I hadn't originally planned on riding the Coronado Trail, but thanks to this forum, I added it to my route.
As for fuel, I will probably stop every chance I get. Running out of gas out in the middle of nowhere is my biggest concern.
Doc Ock, I've ridden thru that part of Colorado a few times, so I wanted to try a different route. I really like that area, so we may decide to ride thru there again though since nothing is set in stone.
