gotta have breakfast at OST in Bandera, Luckenbach is right up the road as well, Fredericksburg is a nice little town with German bakeries and micro breweries that are worth checking out. Kerrville is a pass through, but do have a great Best Western (Sunday House) that is extremely bike friendly and offer a HOG rate of 60-80 bucks depending on time of year, and is a more central place for basing out of than Bandera for riding the Hill County.
hwy. 16 from fredericksburg to llano is a nice ride...and go to cooper's bar-b-q when you get to llano. say yes when they ask you if you want that beef rib wet.
koyote canyon would be a good place to stay...biker friendly and nice cabins. 11th street cowboy bar in bandera usually has lots of bikers on weekends, along with live music and a good dance floor. bent rim bar and grill in leaky for a cold one. to me, the hill country is about the riding...all the little towns give you a chance to stretch your legs. there are a lot of exotic game ranches(high fenced) in the hill country--you will see animals from all over the world grazing a short distance from the road. even saw a kangaroo once!
Great riding down there! Make sure to check out Hillbillyz between Sisterdale and Kendalia if you get time, and if you make it over to Junction on I10 go to Lums bbq. You wont regret it!!! I was there yesterday and its worth the drive! Watch for DEER too
