Oh, I am so sorry for offending all the trailer queens out there. Please put me on your ignore list.

But I really do find you entertaining. I can hang out in the back lot of Wall Drugs and watch you unload your scoots from the trailers. Then watch you "Ride to Sturgis". All 105 miles worth.

I think there really is a market for "Spray Road Grime" as long as it has the H-D logo. A couple of quick shots and instant street cred.

As we all know.... some of us are "IDIOTS"! It's that some of us don't realize that it shows.

Not everyone has the time to be a "longrider".
Some women don't like to be long rider passengers.
Trailering is ok I guess, you do get some of the comforts of home and it can be a base camp to be a long rider.

We have well over 20 different vacations for nine days just on the bike, between 1800 and 3800 miles. In 08 was the only time I trailered my bike. We had never been out west and had 14 days. We knew we wouldn't be able to get this much time off work till retirement so after much debate had to make the most of it.3200 miles on truck and 4400 on bike. If we didn't take the truck wouldn't have seen everything we saw.If my health holds out and I retire we are looking forward to even a longer trip without truck. So My question is AM I A LONG RIDER OR A TRAILER QUEEN.Like I really care what anybody else thinks. RIDE SAFE BOYS AND GIRLS

Some of us have kids and pets we need to bring to the in-laws to go on the "long hauls", so the trailer comes in handy getting to the starting point. Still put on 6800 miles after we unloaded the bike and headed out. Some of that can afford trailers and use them when necessary. I thought real riders picked a direction not a destination? Sounds like your afraid to go find roads off the beaten path without pre routing it from what others have found, feel sorry for you lack of adventure.

My plan after retiring is to trailer my bike to a central location, then spending a week or 12 riding the local roads and immersing myself in the local flora and fauna; before loading the bike up on the trailer and moving on to the next spot.

Meh.

I put 8-10k miles on my bike a year, so I'm happy play that d!ck swinging game anytime.

"Buzzard II" ... I'd say you're well on your way to being disliked over here too ... and I don't even own a trailer ... Blanket Statements must be your way of feeling secure?

I trailered down to Pigeon Forge from NH, so if the OP saw me many states away last June in NC or Tenn,, could he assume I was a LongRider from just seeing my plate on some back road? In our short 6 months of riding time here in New England I put 10 to 12k a year ,no trailering---to each their own[wonder if he would let a trailer queen buy him a beer?] Rocker--[-NH Longrider]

I have done the 1000 miles days, i don't have to prove myself to anybody, I trailered my bike 2.5 hours a few weeks ago to be closer to the NC Hills and ride all day...It cut 5 hours on the bike but i rode the NC hills all day, HARD riding...I also hate to ride in the dark so this allowed me to ride in the car in the dark on the way there and back which allowed me to ride the bike more.
If i had the money to go on a multi day trip i would do it in a minute...I will one day...I am just now done breaking in my 07 FLHTC... just turned 81000 miles...Can't wait to get to 125000, that is when i will beef up the motor a little...RIDE ON mergatroids...
