This June a buddy and our wives are riding to Arkansas from South Texas for a week long trip. Any must do's up there? We haven't decided on routes to take yet or a destination other than the fact that Arkansas is as far as we are going. Suggestions?

Hot Springs should be one stop. Lake, mountains (well at least bigger than the Hill Country hills), trees, and a few twist roads.
If you want to ride up through Oklahoma, I would suggest doing the Talimena Scenic drive from Oklahoma over to Mena, AR. It's a great 53 mile stretch. Also, do a search on Pig Trail Scenic Byway in AR and check out the images. In and around Eureka Springs, AR is great riding also. We did it last year during the BBB Rally. You might even check out the BBB (Bikes, Blues, BBQ) rally website (http://www.bikesbluesandbbq.org/rall...ps-directions/). They have a lot of maps available for some great rides.
Rt.7 is a great scenic ride. I don't think you can find a bad road around Eureka Springs. People seem to love the Pig Trail, I thought it was the tamest road there. ES has a nice downtown area, and Hot Springs is nice as well.
Rte 7 from Hot Springs to Harrison is a excellent ride. Keep going north up to Ozark, Mo and get some throwed rolls at Lambert's Cafe. I ride there once or twice a year.
Stay at the Hootie Creek House http://www.hootiecreekhouse.com/ in Talihina, OK before doing the Talimena Scenic DriveWe stayed here last year, you will not be disappointed !
Around Mountain Home, AR you have Hwy 341 aka Push Mountain Road. You also have 123 from Mt. Judea to Hwy 7. Hwy 14 from Yellville to Allison, is a pretty road to ride. Hwy 9 from Allison to Melborne, sometimes a good road, sometimes a little rough around the edges. Scooter's Resturant at the Hub, south of Harrison (use to be Dogpatch) on Fri. & Sat. have some real good prime rib & steak...
As others have said for the best ride take the Talimena Scenic drive from Oklahoma over to Mena, Ak. From there head north to Fort Smith over to 40 to 23 (Pig Trail). Take 23 all the way to Eureka Springs. This is a great little motorcycle town with plenty to eat and see. From there take 62 over to Harrison where you can take 7 down to Dover which leads you back to 40. For sure some of the best riding in the south!
