Thumbs up

Bozeman to Billings through Yellowstone, even if you just take the North entrance to the Northeast side at Cooke City and over Beartooth Pass through Red Lodge and on to Billings. That is a very long day and night time riding with the elk and moose, be careful. We did a trip several years ago about as aggressive as this, 9600 miles in 3 1/2 weeks. Could say we went a long way, but didn't take the time to smell the roses. Drove past lots of places I wish now we would have stopped at. It's not how far you go, but the stops along the way that usually make the trip memorable. Be safe and enjoy.

Very true. Back in 2006, my son and I did a 4500 mile trip from Texas to Glacier Nat'l Park in 10 days. When you average 450 miles a day in the mountains, you can't stop and look around which is unfortunate. We usually do a 10 trip every year, but now we have shortened the distance covered so we can stop and see a few things and actually appreciate them.
