Are you planning on riding Bear tooth pass in montana, its between bozeman & billings...
Riding thru yellow stone park in summer, plan on a slow ride, lots of tourists, and they stop for the slightest thing, even ground squirrels... you might enjoy bear tooth more than yellow stone...
I've ridden highway 12 from Idaho to Montana several times, you will love that ride... not a lot of places to pull out for pics, but a great ride... you should stop and eat at the Lumber Jack Saloon on Graves Creek Road, on the Montana side... great burgers...
highway 101 on the coast will be clogged with tourists, so be carefull, they don't pay attention to motorcycles... as your going thru oregon coast, best fish and chips are either at the Chowder Bowl at Nye beach in Newport, or at Sea Hagg in Depot Bay...
I just returned from a 9 day, 4000 mile trip, so i know what having an aggressive schedule is like... alot of days started early, and ended late... we camped mostly along the way, not sure what your planning on doing, but we had to call ahead for camping and the hotels to let them know we would arrive late... not sure how many are traveling with you, if any... but if a large group, there will likely be delays due to bike issues, we had one bike that had to stop for tires, and that had clutch issues... those all take time to deal with and can affect travel times...
Looking forward to seeing pics of your trip...
might as well throw an iron-butt 1k in there one day...you know, just to break things up a little! youth is wasted on the young. have a great trip--just remember that cruise control kicks out at 90!!
