Few of us thinking heading there next weekend....any good info on what to see? going find the Motorcycle Memorial and just get lost......good places to stay? what the story on hotels memorial weekend?

 

Door County is beautiful, but very overcrowded with tourists. I wouldn't go there on a holiday weekend without a reservation.
Probably will be lots of speed traps.

A Fish Boil, and cherry pie are my favorite memories up there.

 

if you can't find a room in door county you should't have any trouble finding one in green bay. GB is about 45 miles south of sturgeon bay. from the very top of door county to green bay is about 100 miles. the weather man said mid 70's and no rain for the memorial weekend. if you're coming from minnesota you need to stop at doc's HD in bonduel , wi. he has a museum and restaurant there. it's well worth the time to stop.

lol...I think thats the bike I see at bike shows around midwest....I had heard that docs was the one that built it.....

what the story with Cherry blossoms? is it season yet?

 

Also stop at Wilson's ice cream stand..you can take the ferry to Washington Island..Roads will be packed keep your head on a swivel. There is another restaurant that has goats on the roof eating grass.

if you have time the neville public museum has some of the packers museum stuff there. 2 super bowl trophies are there. you may never get to see one otherwise.
