Marvin, I'll be leaving from the Lagrange area July 9 for the Blackhills and then on to Yellowstone. I'd love hearing about your experience and what you find open/closed in SD. Enjoy the trip!

Great stuff here, guys; muchly appreciated, as we are about to do a Toledo area to West Sacramento and back trip through this region on the way out. Since we only plan on 10 days going out, 4 there, and 8 or 9 days coming back by a more southern route, this info will help us make our plans.

I'll make sure I post something up when we get back. Really looking forward to the trip, riding all the great roads and seeing all the places that I hear about here...

Buffalo, WY has been mentioned. If you pass that way the "Dash Inn" has some good food. Very nice rib plate. When I saw it, I had to get one. Good ribs.

FWIW the best restaurant in Buffalo is the Winchester Steak House.
I hunt out of Buffalo almost every year.
