hey Ryan, wondering the best mufflers for this bike - I am leaning towards the black 2.25 to 2.5 - planning on adding the big sucker air cleaner, and getting the HD tuner.
Thanks,
Jim

I assume your bike is fuel injected. Based on this if you choose the 2.25 or 2.50 a fuel management system will be required. If it's carbuerated, a rejet kit will be required. Also the 2.50 is our most aggressive (loudest) baffle option. This baffle provides great performance on large motor builds, but not enough back pressure for a stock motor to get good torque. The 2.00" baffle will provide the best overall performance gains for a stock motor in a 2005 bagger. Or you can go with our race series baffles... This puts a smaller diameter baffle on the left side causing the system to provide a bit more back pressure and better torque numbers but maintains the sound of the larger baffles. In my opinion, the 2.25" baffle is a great choice for riders wanting it loud but maintaining the ridability. 2.50" are not for the timid and generally work best with large motor builds. As you can see there are many options. If you need more information please call me or our tech department and they can give you details.
thanks,
Ryan
Hi Ryan,
Thanks for the quick response - I think I confused things a little with my signature and which bike I was asking about -
I was asking about the 2.25 / 2.5 black mufflers for the 2010 FatBoy lo, not the '05 Road King - Sorry!
So, dealing with the FatBoy, 2.25 - 2.5 would work OK based on the Ness BigSucker aircleaner and Harley tuner?
Thanks again,
Jim

Sorry about that...
2.25 is the largest and loudest baffle for the FatBoy and will work great with the AC and tuner.

I have to say I recently inquired on how to measure the baffle size on a set of Rush slip-ons for my sportster. I expected to wait a few days for a response but was I ever surprised to get an e-mail a few hours later from Katfish in the CS department. It was explained very well and it only took me a minute to realize 1 I needed to go back to school, simple formula DOHH and 2 that the CS at Rush was fantastic. On top of the info I requested Katfish offered to send me out new baffle matting as I explained the matting on my baffles was pretty raged. I agreed and within 3 days I had a box with more then enough matting, 2 packets of there chrome polish and a few rush stickers. The stickers and polish might seem trivial but not to many company's are putting the little extras in the box let alone send it to you free of shipping charge. After I repacked the mufflers the sound was very sweet, It didn't sound like a penny in a can. All I can say is great product and great support to back it up. I purchased a set for my wifes bike 2 days later. I believe I will continue to put Rush products on my bikes from here on in. Thanks for making such a great product.
Just picked up some older Rush slipons from a forum member and the packing was gone so wrote Rush and within 3 or 4 days they shipped me free packing material with instructions. Awesome customer support, love the product and I am a happy customer. I have the 1.75 baffles and love the sound: loud enough when I get on it and quiet enough not to **** off the neighbors at 0630. The thing I like is that I can change the baffles to any size I want without having to buy a completely different set of mufflers.
I can personally attest to the outstanding customer service and support at Rush Racing Produsts. I had an issue with the right muffler discoloring and they went above and beyond to help me and my dealer determine the cause and take care of the problem. All other companies would do well to study Rush Racing's "can do" customer service.
Thank you Adam at Rush Racing for all that you did.
