Default Sound difference?

In the market for some slip ons for my 2010 FXDC. Kinda narrowed it down to the Slash Cut or the Tip Compatible w/oem taper. For some reason I just like the look of the stock mufflers. Is there any discernible sound difference between the two with the same size baffle? I'm thinking of the 1.75 to start.

Thanks

The style of muffler will not change the sound, but the baffle size will. The 1.75 is a great starting baffle. That and the 2.00" are the two most popular sizes. The main difference is when you are at highway cruizing speed the 1.75" will mellow out a bit more than the 2.00".
Thanks for contacting us,
Ryan

I didn't know if the tapered tip would make any difference in the sound. I figured I'd go the conservative route on the 1.75 baffle and change if needed. Thanks

Go with the 2" baffles. I did and like them. I didn't want my exhaust to be obnoxiously loud. (at first) I got the 2" baffles and when I first started my bike, I was loving the sound. When I hit about 45 mph, the sound of the mufflers gets quieter. I prefer to putt around and hear the pipes. I guess I am going to have to go full on exhaust eventually but for now, the Rush mufflers work for me.

Check out our full systems. They are ceramic coated inside and out, this greatly reduces heat coming off the pipes. We also have a full system program going on right now called "Ride on us." Basically if you don't like the system for any reason you can return it, does not include labor. My personal favorite is the cross-over system.

If this it true how can anyone go wrong. Buy the pipes, install them, try them out and if you dont like them get a full refund. I know the hardest thing to do is pick out an exhaust. To often when someone buys one the turn out to be unhappy. With this you can try them out. Perfect.

I was happy with my rush slip ons, great company. I just wanted something more and man did I toss back and forth with an exhaust. I think you all need better options for full exhaust systems on sportsters I couldn't find a rush one I liked the look of which was sad.
