I have a 2008 dyna superglide,xied"s and a k&n standard air filter was wondering if that combonation would carry the 2.25 baffels or if it"s not rich enough should I switch to the smaller size baffel.really like the sound of the 2.25"s the stock harley pipes have a little black soot on the ends.but the plugs look fine.I relize there are alot of different setups out there and this is a strange one.the bike runs really well the way it is.but the stock exhaust sound is not what i want-------------thanks tom

To play it safe, stick with the 2.00" baffle. This is our most popular size and will be a night and day difference from the stock sound! I've seen a few member posts having success with our 2.00" baffle and the xied. Generally speaking your described setup would require a fuel management system for use with the 2.25" baffle. The 2.25" is the largest baffle offered for your style bike. I can not guarantee the xied will work as intended with this large of a baffle size. If you are really set on the 2.25" you might want to contact the manufacturer of xied for their opinion.
Thanks for considering Rush!

thanks for the answer, what are the stock numbers or how would I find the right numbers for the 175,200,225 baffels,already have the pipes,bought them used haven"t put them on yet.will try them with the 2.25"s first and go from there,and are there 150"s that will fit just in case.I want to go that way thank"s again tom
Baffle kit part numbers for 08 Dyna superglide slip-ons...
145012 = 1.50"
143412 = 1.75"
142012 = 2.00"
142215 = 2.25"
MSRP is $69.25
Please keep in mind that we recommend using new exhaust clamps with every exhaust change. Clamp them down to 65 ft lbs of tq to ensure a good seal to the head pipes.
Have fun with the install and let me know if you would like any more information.
Thanks,
Ryan
pipes are on and they seam to be alright with the xied"s and 2.25 baffels cooled the bike down a bit and seams to have smoothed out surgeing on low end at slower speeds.the fact that i go to work at 4 in the morning might have something to do with the size of baffels we end up with. these are quite loud and will have to be toned down after a couple of complaint"s from the neighbors thanks again tom
Great, glad the xieds worked with your setup. The 1.75" is great for sneaking out in the early morning, at low rpms they are mellow but if you crack the throttle they will still make some noise.
