Default Baker Attitude Installation and Fluid Change

I decided to change the fluids on my new to me 2010 HD Ultra CVO even though the previous owner said he had just had them changed a few hundred miles before I purchased it. I guess I am **** about that but I like to go through my bikes/vehicles myself and ensure they are done properly and to also give myself a base line for future preventive maintenance services.

I have had the bike for several weeks now but just now had time to perform this service. I also purchased a Baker Attitude manual primary chain adjuster as soon as I purchased the bike and it came in about a week and a half ago so everything will be done at one time.

Outer primary cover removed after removing floorboards and draining fluids.

Tension released and compressed the OEM adjuster and zip-tied for removal.

Baker Attitude manual adjuster ready for installation.

Removal of the primary sprockets/chain is necessary to install the Baker adjuster. It is quite simple, just make sure to get the fasteners torqued properly and also remember that the clutch hub bolt is left hand thread. Here I am setting the chain tension to the specified 5/8"-7/8".

My fluids of choice. Mobil 1 V-Twin 20W-50 for the engine, H-D Formula + for the primary and Spectro 6 for the transmission.

Test ride completed, shop cleaned up and ready for a Saturday afternoon ride with the wife and son.

Mike.

Great write up and pics. Just did mine last weekend, nice and simple to do. I immediately could tell a difference in shifting and noise reduction. I use the redline primary fluid.
