Some folks on the CVOHarley Forum have been reporting them to go sour as low as 15k. There's a tread over there regarding the 15's & 16's having engine (lifters) issues.
Understandably, if you have your ESP you really have no other choice. Just keep an ear out for them.
IF, anything sounds weird, let your dealer know and have them make notes. I would recommend some better aftermarket lifters, S&S, GMR, etc.
I choose GMR lifters as I wanted his cam for my last winter build.

Thanks for the info. I do plan on replacing my lifters but I'm only at 1800 miles now. Will wait until warranty is up and I have more miles.
Right at 6k on mine and they are making noise on start up. It's irritating because if I put some better lifters in there the ESP people won't cover the problem. So, I'm going to run it until is self destructs like my 14 CVO Limited did.
