Hello
I have a 2017 CVO Limited with only 300 miles. I had a battery tender on the bike all winter. She started up fine this weekend but turned over slow. I thought if I rode it that it would be fine however it would not start after I turned it off. The bike had power just not enough cranking amps to turn over and made a grinding type sound.
I ended up jump starting down a hill to get home. I tried charging it with a few chargers with no luck in it turning over. I removed the battery to test it and try charging one last time. I hastily used jumper cables from the bike to the battery and reversed the polarity in frustration. The horn blew loudly and I removed the cables from the battery. I did not attempt to start the bike. It blew the 20amp fuse in the fuse box. Everything seems to be ok (lights, radio etc) but the starter switch now does absolutely nothing. Any thoughts on what damage I have done?
Thank you.

Double Check that. I just purchased a 2016 FXDB but, I haven't taken delivery on it yet. The information I got it has an Absorbent Glass Mat battery. AGM batteries require a different type of microprocessor controlled charger. Although a standard charger will charge an AGM battery to 80%, leaving one on a trickle charger over a long period of time will kill it. https://www.knowyourparts.com/techni...agm-batteries/

Blue & Silver, NICE choice.
My dealer told me I had a 6 month warranty on the battery since they can go bad sitting on the deal floor. Have you called them?
A free battery would be great but I’m not really concerned about that. When I reversed polarity on the bike something most have blown. Starter solenoid, ECM possibly?
